Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate
Situated just next to each other, in the heart of the government district, the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate are two iconic buildings of not just Germany, but Europe as well. The Reichstag is the center of the country’s federal government, while the Brandenburg Gate is a similarly important, but more of an iconic part of the nation. Must see!
Berlin Television Tower
With its staggering 368 meter height the Berlin Television Tower was once the tallest building in the world. Construction lasted for six years, and ever since its opening in 1969 the tower has lured in numerous tourists. Check it its 360 degree panoramic viewing deck !
The Berlin Cathedral
While it might not be the first thing that comes into mind, the Berlin cathedral is definitely worth a visit. Built in the 19th century, the cathedral suffered heavy damage during the bombings of World War II, only to be restored to its original beauty decades later.
The Berlin Wall Memorial Center
No visit to Berlin is complete without the Berlin Wall Memorial Center, a museum dedicated to the tumultuous decades of the cold war, when the city of Berlin was divided by a massive wall. The museum tells the story of not just a war and a wall, but the citizens of Berlin, families, who were forced to live their lives separated.
And once the museums close, don’t forget to clock in for you nighttime adventure with Pub Crawl Berlin!
